Happy Hardcore • Minneapolis Underground
DJ Spree has been in the mix since 1997, coming up in the Minneapolis underground rave scene when Happy Hardcore was still finding its footing in the midwest. Those early years were loud, fast, and relentless: 170 BPM beats packed into basements and warehouses, the crowd running on adrenaline and anthems.
Through the 2000s and into the 2010s, Spree played clubs and raves across the country, from Brooklyn lofts to San Francisco warehouses to St. Louis basements. Bassgasm. Candyball. Underground Sound. Subzero. A catalog of live sets and studio mixes that captured the energy of an era.
These days the shows are occasional and selective: the right underground opportunity, the right floor, the right moment. The BPM has not dropped. Neither has the attitude.
Spree streams live with visuals by Inside the Robot. Follow to know when the next one hits.
